Gray can be mature, wise, and responsible along with a marker of age, lethargy, and fatigue. It can define and symbolize age and experience. As we get older, the pigment cells in our hair follicles gradually die, making our hair a more transparent color — like gray, silver, or white — as it grows. As people continue to get older, more pigment cells dies, and hair becomes more so or completely gray.
